Interlined Curtains in Jane Churchill fabric

The photo above is of interlined curtains made from Jane Churchill's lovely Inglewood fabric J866F-03. This delightful embroidered fabric has a lovely airy feel with feathery mimosa leaves and delicate flowers. It's available in four colourways. The curtains have a double pleat heading to give a contemporary, smart look and are interlined for a luxurious feel, this helps protect the main fabric and also helps to insulate the window.

Interlining is the fleecy fabric that is placed between the main fabric and the lining which gives curtains that very luxurious look and feel. It comes in several weights depending on the overall effect desired. The curtain lining here is standard rather than blackout, allowing the morning sun to give the fabric a lovely glow. Blackout lining is a popular choice for those who like a dark bedroom, though curtains with a heavy weight interlining and blackout lining can be heavy and need a substantial pole or track.

There are several curtain heading option to choose from. The most popular choices are either a Double Pleat or a Triple Pleat heading. These heading always look smart and neat, plus they have the advantage that the curtains stack back very tidily when the curtains are open. Other heading choices are Goblet,  Eyelet, Wave or Pencil Pleat which uses a curtain tape rather than buckram.

The curtains are hanging on a Bradley Collection steel pole with decorative finial, one of several designs to choose from. A pole like this is a timeless classic that will last a lifetime and will enhance any window treatment.
